Commit To Create Challenge Canceled until January 4, 2010

There's good news and bad news. The bad news first: The Monday morning Commit to Create Challenge has been canceled until January 4th, 2010.

Now the good news: I am canceling it because my brother is coming for Thanksgiving and he'll be here a week and I want to be sure I leave my days unscheduled, so we can visit, go to the movies, stay up late laughing and whatever mischief we can get into.

Then, just about the time, I could get back to a routine, my mother is having surgery and I need to be with her. Next, comes Christmas, then New Year's and oophs, there we are: January 4, 2010.

Put it on your calendar! We'll get back in the groove in January.

Hugs,
Diana

Have creative day! And the rest of the year for that matter!

Commit to Create Begins November 2, 2009

Hello Creative Friends!

I am so excited to offer beginning November 2nd, the Free Monday Morning Challenge: Commit to Create

Things you need to know:

  • How to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). If you don't know how, the instructions are at the bottom of this post.
  • The call begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.
  • To receive the telephone number for the conference call, you must sign up. You will receive a confirmation. Then you will receive a reminder notice on the Sunday night before the call with the call-in number. You only have to register once.

How the Commit to Create Challenge works:

  • You decide what creative project you want to commit to.
  • Jot down a list of reasons or blocks why you don't want to do it (if you have any).
  • Make the Commit to Create phone call and join others who are doing the same thing. The group energy helps you to stay committed.
  • Spend about 5 to 10 minutes using EFT to energize your creativity by eliminating blocks. Diana will lead this exercise.
  • Hang up the phone and start your project. Work until the top of the hour. At 10:00 a.m., call the number again. Diana will lead a brief exercise to energize your commitment. Then hang up and continue your project.
  • Repeat at 11:00 a. m. for a fun finish. You then have a great start on a creative project you may have had little enthusiasm for until now.

We use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to eliminate blocks to our creative process.

  • Briefly, EFT is a energy technique that is similar to acupuncture without the needles. It may seem complicated, but after you do it a time or two, you'll get the hang of it. It is amazing, but don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself.
  • These are the tapping points: See the red spots on Miss Mona below:
